Unfortunately, my wife backed into the 6 accidentally and cracked the front right bumper. Since the old wrap was a few years old already, I knew it was time to either go with the underlying black, or try a different wrap (since replacing one panel would not blend with the somewhat faded remaining wrap). I looked long and hard and decided to take a chance with the 3M Brushed Steel wrap, along with 3M brushed black on the front lip spoiler, the roof, and the rear spoiler. D&A Customs did a great job and I'm very happy with the results! I was afraid it would be too light from everything I'd seen out there, but it's definitely not: it has that charcoal look, nice highlights with sunlight on it, and the actual brushed texture. Fun stuff. |
I had never had a car with a wrap before, but I really liked how this one looked (in addition to it fitting all of my wants re features and mods. I think the film used was 3M Charcoal Metallic. It had a bit of a gold / rose tint to it which at first I didn't love, but it definitely grew on me.
Only reason I changed is because the car got a little fender bender and this wrap had been on for a few years making it impossible to match up just one fender of fresh wrap with the existing one. That said - I love the new one, too...read more on the other tab.
